Before starting work you will require a “Working with Children Clearance” or Ochre Card see the Working with Children Website for information on the steps in gaining a clearance.

You will also need to start studying towards an approved qualification, or hold a approved qualification.

The approved qualifications are governed by the regulatory bodies see Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority 

if not sure if your qualification is still current.
