Great news another option for those busy parents who work shift work, or have 2 or 3 children under 5.
Nannies will need to be with an 'approved' service, hopeffully this will mean that parents will not need to do the reference checks etc as is required now.
Mnn though the Nannies need not be trained in early childhood or health and safety information so Parents will need to review just what Training the Approved Service has provided
to the Nanny before taking anyone on.
I expect it will be offically another Career Options for those who love working with children. What are your thoughts?
And how much would you expect to pay an hour? Similar to what you might pay a Family Day Career?
The Pilot program starts in 2016 so if your pregnant now and you think a Nanny might be your preferred option keep in touch
and we will endeavour to find out what organisations get 'approval' here in the NT.
