It seems like ECEC Educators (previously childcare workers) have been on the skill shortages list for over 10 years now, and it isn't getting any easier trying to recruit new Educators?

Do we all need to wake up and "smell the roses"? Do we need to have a stronger focus on developing the Educators we have and keeping them? And trying to attract people who are already working in other similar sectors and looking for a change! After all, if what you are doing is the same old way of recruitment, it maybe time to stop, take stock and try something new.
